Designing with Intention: The Story Behind Our Logo

At Neglia Design, we make deliberate choices in everything we create, including our own logo. We wanted an identity that wouldn’t compete with the work but would quietly support it with clarity and confidence.
That meant choosing a typeface that’s clear and approachable, and shaping the logo with a structure that feels balanced and intentional. Not to follow trends or design formulas, but to reflect how we work: thoughtfully, collaboratively, and with purpose.
We believe good design should earn trust, support communication, and make things clearer.
Here’s how those choices came together.
WHY WE CHOSE FRUTIGER FOR OUR LOGO

At Neglia Design, we’re in the business of making our clients’ work shine. That’s why, when it came to designing our logo, we wanted something that wouldn’t compete with the work, but would quietly elevate it.
We chose Frutiger, a typeface created in the 1970s by Swiss designer Adrian Frutiger. It was first developed for the signage at Charles de Gaulle Airport to help travellers find their way quickly and clearly. Later refined for print, it is now widely praised for its legibility and approachable design.
Frutiger doesn’t try to steal the spotlight. It supports.
That’s the role we wanted our identity to play — to stand beside the work, not in front of it.
- It’s clean, uncluttered, and highly legible.
- It feels approachable — and that matters to us, because relationships matter to us.
- It reflects our belief that design should serve a purpose and make things clearer, not more complicated.
In a world where flashy often gets attention, we’ve chosen clarity, intention, and trust.
Frutiger plays the quiet, supporting role, and we’re proud to let our work speak.
OUR LOGO, EXPLAINED THROUGH THE GOLDEN RATIO

At Neglia Design, we believe good design isn’t just about how something looks. It’s about how it feels. And when something feels right, it builds trust.
That’s why, when we created our logo, we used the golden ratio — a proportion found throughout nature, art, and architecture for centuries. You might not spot it right away, but you feel it. There’s a reason the golden ratio shows up in Leonardo da Vinci’s sketches, classical architecture, and the spirals of seashells — it creates a subtle sense of balance and harmony.
That’s what we wanted in our logo:
- A structure that’s calm, steady, and intentional.
- A shape that complements the work, not distracts from it.
- A design rooted in timeless principles, not trends.
We believe design should do more than get attention.
It should create clarity, foster trust, and feel like it belongs.
The golden ratio helps us build that into our identity — a quiet kind of confidence that lets the work speak.
Sometimes the most meaningful choices aren’t the loudest. They’re the ones made with care.
